The folks at the Corvette factory-filled your corvette with Mobil-1 full synthetic 5W/30. But the only thing you need is an oil that passes GM4718M specs. The bottle of oil should have this specification printed on the label. Mobil-1 is good oil, Factory-fill for a lot of cars like Porsche and Rolls-Royce engines. They trust it.
But very soon you'll be inundated with a ton of miscellaneous advice about every kind of oil known to modern man to date. Be careful and keep your head down. Remember that the factory-fill was Mobil-1 5W/30 !

Any name brand synthetic will do just fine. All you have to do is remember to change the oil when scheduled (The DIC is a great tool). Here is a link posted by member Alex Smith which is very comprehensive if you want to learn a little more about oils.
Do a search... There must be a billion threads on this by now. If you're looking for a consensus as to which oil is the best, you're in for some disappointment.
Anyone have any thoughts on Penzoil full synthetic? I've been using that for a few years with good results.
I was using Pennzoil Platinum 5w30 for the past few years with great oil analysis results and when Pennzoil released their new Ultra synthetic oil I started using that. FWIW, I run 7.5 quarts of oil in mine, and have done so for the past 6 years.
