Thanks for all the encouragement and how-to files. I took my time, but easily removed the defective HUD. Because GM stopped manufacturing these puppies, you have to get a reman.

Mind saying what the remanufactured unit cost ya? (or where you found the best price to be?).

Got the remanufactured unit through my local Chevy dealer. Model Electronics is handling all remans for GM. Walk-in price w/ core was 175.00
