When i shut off my traction control i can't do a standing burnout w/o water. but once i put it in competitive handling it will go but than i can spin it around the corner cause the active handling comes on. whats the difference between the two?

Active handling - employs yaw sensors and if a situation is detected that the vehicle is about to swap ends, it applies brake in the opposite corner to control a spin.
Traction control will retard timing it it detects the back wheels are spinning faster than the fronts.
Competitive driving shuts off traction control and leaves active handling engaged.
If both traction control and active handling are turned off - you are on your own to control the vehicle.
So as you can see - having everything turned off or putting the car into Competitive Driving mode should be exactly the same. As to why it won't burn the tires with everything turned off - no idea.....
