The only thing I use in mine is Techron about twice a year. Just keeps the sending units clean.

I don't normally believe all the propaganda on labels but like I said before, it's been recommended to me since '85.

The label reads..."Use of lower-quality gasolines can result in the formation of harmful deposits, which may cause loss of power, poor fuel economy, hesitation, knocking/pinging, and higher exhaust emissions. Techron Cencentrate Plus, with it's exclusive synthetic formula, is a proven solution for engines suffering from harmful deposit build-up.

Its use can help ...

Additionally, regular use of Techron concentrated Plus helps:
~ Clean and restore operation of sulfer-contaminated fuel gauge sensors.
~ Prevent corrosive sulfer deposits from attacking fuel gauge sensors.
~ Protect against corrosion by coating all metallic surfaces of the fuel system. This protection has been shown to last for thousands of miles.

Directions: Pour... into nearly empty tank and refuel with up to 15 gallons of gasoline..."

btw: Techron has the Chevron label
