OK so from what I understand the blue and white lead coming off the pac unit is not connected to anything in the factory harness because the power antenna is not run directly from the factory unit correct?
Does the factory power antenna power off the factory amp trigger? If the two are tied in together I should be able to remove the white and blue wire and just use the solid blue to connect to the pioneer remote wire correct? I know I had said tie them together which would have worked, but I don't need anything more than white/blue from head unit to solid blue on the pac harness right?
I'm guessing this is why the antenna is always up because the antenna must be triggered in order for the factory amps to kick on?
You can see the two blue leads from the aftermarket radio side of the pac, but only one blue coming from the factory harness side of the pac.

All wiring figured out and BOYO is mounted.
Calling it a night and I'll be out to Home Depot tomorrow for some stranded wire. All I had was solid 
.
Really happy with the way the install is going so far. Everything will look great, the backup cam came out exactly like I had hoped.

Ok hooked up all my wiring and was shocked when not one single thing didn't work. I figured I would have had something that was loose or not working right, but even the backup cam came on as it was supposed to. I just need to hook up the VSS, mount the GPS and the BT Mic and then start putting everything back together.

Congrats to you man! How's it sound? You didn't upgrade the speakers, just the head unit, right?
I know the added features are a huge plus. I for one was grateful that I no longer have to have CD's strewn all over the place, just the IPod cable.

Sounds good so far, the backup image is reversed though, so I'm going to try and see if there is a fix for that.

OK everything is mounted less the GPS antenna, I am starting a sep. thread on an idea I have for a spot. I will post more updates as they come. Getting small chunks installed between spending time with the wife on vacation.

Spent an hour playing with the radio and all the features today. I REALLY REALLY REALLY like this Radio. It does everything exactly the way I want it to. Now that I played with audio settings and screen settings it looks and sounds amazing too.
I will note that I was not impressed with factory settings for either sound or picture, but the fact that it lets you infinitely customize it to your liking is the best part of all.
