actually it involves moving the yellow harness wire over one spot in the connector AND THEN grounding it (yellow lead) and the green e brake wire to bypass the in motion lock out. if you haven't been on avic411.com you should check it out.

Mine performs all functions at any speed.

Bleh! I just hooked everything up, works fine other than NO BASS. The WHOLE reason I went through the trouble of getting the adapter harness (XSVI-2004). The little silver box has an power led which is not lit. Why would this thing not be turning on? All the wires are correct as far as I can tell and I turned on the acc for 30 secs then turned it off like it said. I did have the radio connected at the time do I have to do the 30 second thing without the radio plugged in?

I am not a fan of that harness. The roem-vet1 is so much better and 40.00 less

however
did you connect the blue white wire from the radio to the blue wire in the harness? The blue wire will be the power antenna wire. If not this is your problem. Most people hook blue to blue and blue white to blue white. This is not correct

The only wire have unhooked from the radio is a blue wire labeled Antenna control and on the harness the blue/white wire labeled amplifier turn on. I have NO blue /white wire coming from the radio. So really my only option is the blue to blue/white correct?

hmmm ok you are right , So how do I get the lead running to the big amp for the subs? Do I make the wire go to the harness amp and tap into it for the amp I have connected to 12' subs?
