[Z06] engine oil pressure light

Default engine oil pressure light
I have a 2004 stock Z06 with 29K miles that has never needed oil. Today on my hud the engine oil pressure lamp came on. The car says it has 75% life left and the oil pressure was 40 at idle and about 50 while highway driving home. I checked the oil and it might have been a little low so I added a quart anyway and the light stayed on. The local dealers were no help except to say "bring it to the shop". Any advice would be appreciated.

The oil pressure senders are notorious for blowing out.

About $25 from NAPA and easy to replace.

Right behind the intake manifold.
