Any links or pictures of the air intake grill mentioned?

Hi There devnull,
You are the man! I was wondering if you have to pull the fans from the bottom front or what? Pita? Post a step by step procedure if you recall.
thanks

Hey thanks bud!

I will post a step by step tonight when I get home, but the fans come out through the bottom (you remove the stabilizer bar bushings to clear the space. Not too bad unless you are slammed like my car is!

While working under the car yesterday, I cleaned out my radiator air intake area behind the flex spoiler. Used my hands and shop vac to pull out most of the junk. It was pretty clean though.

Has anyone installed any of these mesh intake protectors? I see these on various vendor websites for around $50, however it looks like something that could be purchased at Home Depot for about $10. Just wondering how to secure it?

Hi There,
That looks like a heavy gauge aluminum. I would bend it to match the conture of the lower fascia. You might have to use a brake, if you can not o it by hand. I would then make cutouts to accommodate the use of the lower fascia 7mm bolts to secure it.

Do you think the screen idea (pics above) would hinder the airflow? Looks like a pretty good/clean solution to keep out the larger junk like bags, leaves, etc. It attaches using the existing fascia bolts. Anyone have this installed?

Hi There,
No I don't think it will affect air flow. If you are worried keep a sharp eye on your coolent temp. I have the eliteengineering screen on mine. custom fit & excellant quality.
