Free Mods and small stuff
Also how does the stock catback with headers and cats sound? which intake should I get?
Without A/C my car runs hot
Also, you likely have debris in your radiator. You will need to clean it.
I am sure someone will chime in on how is the best way
Dave
As for the temps, have your computer re-tuned to turn the fans on at a lower temp, and switch out the thermo for a 160 T-stat.
Congrats on your vette, drive it like it was meant to be driven, but always drive it responsibily.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
Wires: GMPP red wires(get all your AC Delco/GM parts from Gene at GMpartshouse.com)
PCV: AC Delco or if you're driving hard, get a catch can!
Air Filter: Do you have a stock box? K&N for any application anyway
Fuel Filter: AC Delco, kinda a PITA to get at...it's on the left frame rail under the car near the Trans
Oil: Mobil 1, oil cap says in all, you need 6.5 qts., ...be sure to lift the rear higher than the front to drain ALL the oil.
Oil Filter: AC Delco
I have a Fact. Intake and Exh. Manifolds, Fact. Cats., (I may get Long Tubes w/cats soon)...Currently have a Borja X-Pipe and XS Power Cat Back exhaust. Great system, great price and no drone! I'm not too familiar with any good intake manifolds, if that's what you're refering to and not an air intake...but I'd imagine to gain a noticeable difference you should get a tune after installing.

plugs-NGK TR55
wires-MSD SC 8.5 mm wires
intake-Blackwing
Exhaust- flowmaster with x-pipe
all really good stuff but i wouldnt choose the flowmaster exhaust. it came with my car. I would reccomend B&B, GHL, Borla, Corsa, etc for exhaust systems and ARH or LG pro longtubes.

For the warm temp, look to see if there is any debris in front of the radiator area - these cars suck up stuff into there which restricts air flow.
I am looking for a fan mod to turn the fans on while the car is on if possible. I remember seeing something on the forum but for the life of me I can't find it, anyone able to shed some light on what I can do?

MSD wires
NGK plugs
Halltech CAI
B&B exhaust
computer tune.
Then you can get into wheels, tires, brakes, paint the calipers, lower it, shocks, sways, yada yada.... the addiction is fun until you finish all the bolt ons and start looking at the big $ items... ENJOY!!!!!
I would recommend the blackwing with a perf. air bridge.
I found the Halltech, and AFE's filter has a 4 inch opening which (atleast for me) I couldn't get a good seal on the MAF. just my .02

Also look for trash / debris between the radiator and the A/C condenser. the plastic upper radiator support comes off easily and then you can get into that space to clean it up.

Congrats on your new C5! Your going to have a lot of fun with it!
Here is something that will give you some control of you cooling fans.
