Hey took my car to a exhaust shop to get the cutouts installed. Couple things that concerned me and not sure if it will be a prob or not..
The guys put the oval pipes that have the stickers "this side up" upside down on the car lol. The valve on the left side in the picture isn't centered on the turn down so does that mean he has to flip the motor around to line it up properly or does it not matter? Also will those turndowns protect the leaf spring from melting? they aren't canted down very much.. And the motors are touching the way its installed right now, im not sure if thats such a good idea.
And if anyone can post a link of their wiring of the cutouts with pictures that would be awesome because im taking it back to get wired up tomorrow.
On a side note i took out the stock c5z 2.5' h pipe and had them put in the stock c6z 3' h pipe and weld it back up to stock exhaust so when i opened the cutouts i would have full 3' exhaust. Even though its still through the stock mufflers i can tell the exhaust is much throatier and sounds much more mean.
i hear ya. i've been wanting to do this mod myself... i'd love to hear some sound clips after you get the electronics hooked up tomorrow. also, why the long wait? did you order directly from QTP or the auction site? if you dont mind me asking, what id those bad boys set you back?
We do not like what we see. We put stickers "this side up" for a reason. If the turn down, valve and cutout do not match up the butterfly plate may hit the pipe. Also the motors should not touch anything. You may have an issue down the road.
any update? you're probably grinning from ear to ear right now after testing them out...
i've got a corsa pace car catback right now, which is really effin' loud when i stand on it... just curious how much these would actually change my exhaust sound...?

Always good to see a Rep give an opinion. Get them to fix it at no cost and to give some money back for time and convenience.
Well im chillin in afghanistan right now, but it sounds absolutely amazing. I love driving around with them open (unless i go into a neighborhood at night!)
