Default Sad day

Well I just watched my 03 Z drive away. With my 2nd child almost here I decided to sell her. This was the best car I have ever owned and hope to be back in a few years. Im hoping for a c6 Z next.

That's the responsible thing to do. The rewards of children are second to none.

Thanks, I agree. But I have looked in the garage 5 times now. It just looked so good sitting there.

You'll get another when the time is right.

Don't leave the forum though. Stick around. It's better than looking in the garage.

The time will come again. Enjoy your kids, family 1st and Hot Rods 2nd. You'll be able to watch the prices go down on that C6Z.

I watched my dad and mom struggle for many years raising us 4 kids. Same with my wife watching her single mother raise 3 girls. My mom is 60 and my dad 63 and they just sold the house we grew up in and moved into a 1/2 million dollar home they built here in Colorado.

I knew years ago I wasnt going that route. Too many "toys" I wanted and I wanted the big house waaaay sooner than 63 years old. My wife and I stopped at one child. It was awesome to watch him grow and now see him thriving as a young adult of 22.

Im 42 my wife is 48 and we love our son dearly, but its also very nice to have almost no debt and pretty much come and go as we please, buy what we want etc. We simply told ourselves we wanted to be "young" empty nesters.

Good luck to you and the new baby on the way!

My wife told me to keep mine too, but I thought it was best to sell. I think.

As you already know children are a "Gift"... The Good Lord has a plan... YOU are doing the right thing..

This too will come to pass... In a few years you will forget about all of us C5 guy's and be posting in the C6 Z06 section... Congrats on the new addition to your family!

You should have sold your 1st born and kept the 'Vette.

I know where you're coming from, I've got a 13 month old son and times are tough, but I'm still glad I have the Zo6 for the time being, if by "miracle" I'm to be the father of a second child, I know for a fact the Corvette would be history.

Picture what you want in the furture, and seriously work towards it, you WILL have what you honestly desire.

Hell, in a few years, the ZR1 will be a used car and whole lot cheaper.

Least you had a Z06, some people don't even get to experience that.

All the best, for the kids.

Sad day indeed but look at it this way... You made someone a very happy person. Take satisfaction in that.

Besides, it's only a temporary set-back. Your C6Z may already be in the pipe-line waiting for you.

RE: Kids

Don't depend on them to put you in a really nice rest home later.

Therefore, get the new Z as soon as possible. You can always duct tape the car seats in the trunk.
