One of the keyfobs that came with my '99 C-5 has the letters worn off of the buttons. Although it still works it doesn't look so hot. One good thing it works fine. Does anyone know if there are any vendors out there that sell a replacement 4 button rubber or what ever it is called that sits above the circuit board inside the unit? It would be easily changable if one could be purchased new as one needs to split the case anyway when replacing the battery.

You'll probably not find individual parts for them. You'll have to get one on ebay for cheap and use that or parts from it.
Just searched Ebay and couldnt find anything. I guess the only way is to buy a new remote but there like $79+!! I might just live with it at that point.
There are hundreds on ebay. Just search on "GM FOB". There isn't anything special about the Corvette FOB other than the "1" or "2" on the back side and some other cars have them as well. There are a few out there right now for $15-$20. They even have lots of 10 or 12 of them...

Actually the electronics in the '97 to '99 C-5 Keyfob is different from the rest of the C-5's. From what I understand you can use a 2000 but the 2001-2004 won't work with my '99.

Sorry, should have been clearer....Yeah they won't work but I thought you just wanted the rubber insert?? Finding a GM FOB to part out for the rubber insert is a lot cheaper than searching for a Corvette FOB to part out when the shell/rubber insert are the same (except 1 & 2 on the back of the shell).
Being plenty of these Keyfobs end up with their letters worn off I am surprised there isn't a Corvette Vendor out there that thought of having someone make up stickers to sell to put on the Keyfob buttons. Heck they make them for your PC Keyboard to replace the letters that wear off and they work well. I purchased a set on Ebay recently. If they were available I would be the first to buy a set.
