Window tint...
Got my car inspected today, the gentleman was like 'so, what % is your tint? It looks dark.. I stated, meh... dunno...?
so he throws his meter on and it says 13% visibility,, Current State Law in TX is 20%, as of Sept 1 (tomorrow) it goes up to 25%...
Good news... he let me pass because he's a good ol'e boy that i have been going to for years...
Bad news is that if i get called on it down the road, the police may have me remove it..

I am illegal here in SC, but I have had tint this dark on all my vettes and never once has there been a problem (knock on wood). Mine is 5% rear and 15% on the sides. Legal is >28%.

My brother got hit with his illegal tint......I warned him.
Cop pulled out a razor scrapper and told him to scrape it off the driver and passenger door or get a ticket......so he scrapped $125 worth of illegal tint off.....
Oh well!

I would take the ticket and have the pros take it off and then fight to have ticket dismissed. I must say I am against any tint beyond factory as it does impact police safety and I do have tint but car was that way when I bought but will not replace if damaged or wears out/off. my 2cents but to each their own
