I'm wanting to up the rear gear ratio in my 98 automatic from the stock 2:73 to a 3:15. Can anyone recomend a good shop in the Indianapolis area that can do this?

As others have said, Go the 3.42 gears, The difference between 2.73 and 3.15 isn't worth the cost, You will feel a slight difference going the 3.15 gears, But if you go 3.42 from 2.73 you will really reap the benefit.
Just my 2 cents.

i went from 2.73's to 3.42's. nice mod! really woke the old girl up!
i drove an A4 with 3.15's before making my decision. as stated above, not a big enough difference to warrant the price.
nope, doesn't get tiresome on the highway at all...anything up to 75 - 80 mph is no problem, noise or otherwise, lots more power too! at ALL RPM! I just went to 3.42 from 2.73, with a 2800 Vig stall, best mod to date!
Here in AZ where the average highway speed limit is 75 mph and most people travel at 85 mph there is no excessive noise or anything. Once I get to Phoenix where its lower in altitude @ 75mph I still get between 30-32 mpg on my fuel display I think I have a pic if I can dig it up Ill post it.
