Default mudguards: Anyone have them?

Was looking at these:

...or something similar.

Does anyone have these? Can you post a pic of your car?

Thanks all!

You might want to get rid of the link to the big auction site. It's not allowed on the forum and the mods might lock the thread or delete the link for you.

Really? Odd rule. Then again, it's an iB property, lol.

Anyhow, edited. Sorry for the misstep.

No offence to BarryBum, but those just don't look right.

AZhitman, do a search and you should find guys on this forum that modded the C6 Z06 mud guards to fit the C5. They look factory, and look great.

Default Splash guards

If you do a search, you'll find a thread where the OP installed a set of C6 splashguards on his C5 and they look fantastic. But, there's a lot of work to get them to fit right. But he has a complete set of instructions & photographs ! Very comprehensive & Excellant step by step instructions. I downloaded them for future use.

The modified C6 ones do look pretty good on the C5. As said, lots of work to get them exactly right. I have a file that illustrates the process of getting the C6 pieces to fit the C5. If you'd like a copy, PM me your e-mail address.

The front's are what you really need, the front tires throw up all sorts of trash chewing up the fender and the entire rocker panel.

The original owner of my car had the 3M Clear Bra added to the car and had it placed behind the front wheels and down the rocker panels. I added the C6 Z06 splash guards painted body color to the rear when I had the L5 flares done:

These were on my car when I bought it. Don't really like them and I discovered that holes were drilled into the fenders to install them, so I can't just remove them. Over the winter I am going to try painting a modified set of the C6 splash guards. They look so much better.

Mmmmm....... don't look bad at all on the dark blue, but would not work on my white.

If you don't have the patience/talent to trim C6 fender guards yourself (like me) there is a vendor that makes them for the C5, but they are very expensive.

Of course you can always go old school.........
