Then put a car cover on your car in the middle of a crowded parking lot and leave it there alone for 4 or 5 hours and tell me if its in the same state as when you left

Covering your car if there's crap, er sap dropping off the trees seems like a reasonable thing to do. As for those Beemers, $.25 car wash should be more than adequate.

I think it is very similar to taking up two spaces. Granted your not being a dink in this case but you are still sending the same message to everyone else in the parking lot. My car is better than yours. Even though that is not what your trying to say.

Tree gunk (especially sap) would be much harder to get off the cover than off your car. There is a right time and a wrong time to use one.

I'd cover it if I thought there would be some tree sap on it. That's stuff is tough to get off. I should know I live amongst dozens of pine trees

I bought a cover when I bought my 02.....I have not used it in years. Even in the winter I leave it uncovered in the garage so on a nice cold sunny day.....dry helps too.. I just get in and take it out. But like peeps have said....it's your car....do what you feel good doing...

There comes a point in your life when you stop caring what other people think of you. I reached it a long time ago.As long as what you do doesn't hurt someone,do what you feel.I cover my '03 coupe every night in my driveway. Someone is always going to be critical of your car. I don't know if it is jealosy or contempt, but people love to hate Corvette owners!!! Good luck and have fun!!!!!

Yea, I think it is over the top. I have considered covering it when I drive it to work. But like others have said I think it would actually draw trouble. Its too bad we have to consider this and cant just do whats best to take care of our nice things.

I wouldn't have covered her for all the reasons noted. Funny because you want to do everything to protect your car but you don't want to draw attention. To many jerks out there.......
