I took my Corvette to a friends bar-b-q yesterday.
They live in a heavily wooded area and there is no place to park in their rather long driveway that does not have trees above it.
I actually brought my indoor cover with me, but was unsure if it was a little obnoxious to use it, so I left it in the car and gritted my teeth, but only for a minute.
Of course, when I left there last night my car had a good amount of tree gunk on it. I gave it a good warm water wash this morning and the sap and gunk came off of it without a lot of fuss.
Is it rude to park your car in a private driveway full of some nice cars (mostly expensive German ones) and then cover it when the others are bare?
Any thoughts?
WHO CARES! Not much that we don't do that neighbors, friends or general public can relate to. It's my car and I really don't care what others think. Just my two cents worth.

I have had my cover for 3 years and I have yet to use it...
To answer your question I think it is just a bit too much to cover your car when parking, If you are going to stor it for a while that is a different story.
I agree with all the posters, if it's your best friends house and you know the people well, then go for it, but if it's a party and there's people you don't know well, you're gonna be a source for some fun talking...
Does everyone in California drive a Prius? I have never seen so many as I do when I go to California.
No, i just cover it so nobody sees that we have a Prius and a Vette. Well it does seem to be the commuter car trend, here and we got it for 0 down and $250 a month, wife drives 20 miles each way to work, she was driving the Explorer that gets around 18 MPG highway.
i wouldnt...of course i dont evr cover mine unless it has just been towel dryed...so as to not grind any dirt into the finish...they clean up pretty easy if you stay on top of it...
I always use the California car duster before putting the cover on, i love the dusters, man if i had to wash the car every time it got dusty i wouldn't have any paint left, i just park it in the garage and dust it every time i drive it. I only wash it once every couple months.

I probably wouldn't use the cover. Besides, I'd never put a cover on a car that has not been cleaned after driving it - too much of a chance of the road dirt grinding into the paint.
I am pretty **** but I would not do that. There is a guy at work that covers his 90s Camaro and I hear people talk about it. It's funny though because you see bikes covered up and don't think anything about it... Personally I would not want the attention that brings. Both "good" and bad.
Not at a friends house (or any drive there/drive back event).
I do bring a cover when I vacation by the shore though. No garage space, hot sun (black coupe), blowing sand and spray = dont care how it looks to others
