Has anyone here tried the touchup paint product from Dr ColorChip? My 2002 coupe has 160k of road rash I would love to clear up. Let me know if this product is worth it or just another snake oil claim. Thanks
are you looking for rattle cat, paint pen or actual spray job type fix?
check out paintscratch too if you're looking for pen/rattle can type. it's going to be very tough to get sprayed on paint to match the body color of your car just so you know.
if you're talking 160K of road rash, think of the last 8 years of the sun/weather and how much the paint color has changed. It doesn't take much to notice so if you're talking front bumper, rockers maybe hood?? you'd be way happier to save your money and get it painted the right way
dr. colorchip is a little pricey if I recall correctly. If you have a bunch of rock chips, you can get them done with a brush touch up paint bottle if you do it carefully with a toothpick. I have gotten paint from http://www.touchuppaintonline.com in the past for around $12 and it matched very nicely.
I used it .And found that you have to build the paint up to cover up most rock chips. The paint match was a little off.If i were to do it over again ,I would just go for the touch up paint in a bottle and save some money.IMHO.
