Default Is there different Z06 Models?

Good day and I have a question or rather a couple of questions.

1. I noticed that my 2002 Z06 has different tail pipes than most and also the chrome wheels. Some i look at have different pipes. Is there different models of Z06's?

2. There is a guy I work with that claims his is a Z06. Aside from the badging it does not appear to be. The vents on the rear look like cheap ones that are stuck on. I tried looking threw them however the screen is too small and there is not too much room to see in behind the tire. The vents are not like mine at all. How can I tell weather his is a real Z06 or not aside from lining up with him, lol.

1.

There were different options for the Z06. Chrome wheels is not an option. That is aftermarket. If the tailpipes look different than the OEM Z06 exhaust than that is aftermarket also.

2.

What color brake calipers does he have? Red are Z06.
Does he have the front mesh covers? Those come on Z06.
6 speed or auto? Z06s came with 6 speed only.
What does the gauge cluster look like? Z06s have the Z06 logo and checkered flag look.

After the year 2000, beginning in 2001, all hardtop Corvettes produced were Z 06's. If his car is a 1997 to 2000 hardtop, it is a converted Z 06 clone. All stock Z 06's came with the same Titanium exhaust. All would have the same size diameter Quad pipes.
If both cars have their original windshields, they should have the exact same marking locations and numbers that are only specific to the Z06 windshields.
Hud (Heads up Display) should be in both cars dash except not an option in the 01 Z's.

So on my Z06 the wheels are aftermarket and so are the tailpipes. Here are some picks.

Your chrome wheels and exhaust (at least the tips) are not stock.

In 2004 you could choose between the Zo6 and Z16.

Those stick on rear brake vents grill are flat. The Z06's have an angle cause they actually go inside the body a bit.
