Hood liner question

Hood liner question

Is there any issue running my car without the hood liner? Mine looks horrible so took it off to try and figure out what i want to do. Thanks

I just replaced mine with a new GM liner from my local Chevy parts dept. $97.00 and change.. Cheapest I found. Took all of 5 minutes to change and looks great!!

I have seen some elaborate paint jobs with the liner removed and most people seem to have no issues without it.

No issues with driving it without the liner, however remember that it does serve a purpose in smothering an engine fire.

Excellent, thanks for the responses.

I like the clean look without the liner - mine was shot, halltech was rubing, dirty, mangy etc.... I am trashing it..

Now, after detailing he car tonight I realized I should really get a different hood anyway.....
