when i got my 98 vette, the coolant tank was cracked. so I went ahead and bought a new one. It worked fine for a month or so. But this morning i woke up and say a huge puddle of coolant under my car. I checked everything i possible could and it ended up being the PRESSURE CAP ( for those who need an exact name). Ive been looking on where to buy one but i cant find any. Does anyone know where i can get one from? Thanks

Also it is important to align the tank when installing it. When I get some time later I'll post up the procedure. It's nothing really elaborate but it will determine whether or not you keep getting low coolant warnings or not.

Gosh, yours must be a new design that uses a LID. Most everyone else's use a pressure cap that is available at the dealer or most parts stores.........
The surge tank cap has been through several redesigns since its introduction, in addition to the physical changes it also had pressure changes from 12 psi now up to 15 psi on the current cap.
