Default Splash guards

I've been thinking about installing the front and rear splash guards or mudflaps on my 99 light pewter metallic conv. The ones that are painted to match your color. I've been hesitate because I would really like to see what they look like on a Vette. The catalogs only show one wheel well (which looks good by the way), but I would like to see the whole car. Do any of you have these accessories? What's your opinion of these if you have them or not?
Thanks.
Mike

Hey Mike.....best bet is to do a Search (Advanced) on this subject. You'll find a bunch of posts and probably as many opinions. Some of us have gone the molded C6 option but the rears require some fairly significant fitting. (See post from Forum Member DeeGee who was the first to do this mod and post results and instructions.) You'll also find posts from other Forum Members who have installed the more traditional guards.

Here you go but you'd need to get them painted

Hi Mike, I picked up my splash guards on ebay this spring. Look at a lot of sites and different styles and I went for what I could afford at the time. Many sites had this same splash guard and you could even get them painted to match your car. I went with just the basic flat black model and painted them myself. Two coats for primer, 3 coats for paint and then the clear coat. Took about 40 minutes to install. Some people don't like the look these style of flaps, But the guys I work with did not even notice them on the car until I pointed them out. C6 style of flaps are real nice but are pricey. I took a quick picture from the back of my C5, I hope this helps you out.

Do a search on C6 Z06 guards...you have to modify them but they look the best on a C5.

Look up the web site www.lewisfivemotorsports.com.

I have L5 Splash Guards front and rear on my car.
They fit perfectly with no triming required and look like they came from the factory.

Here are some pics I shot a couple of years ago. I've used the black mudguards because they blend into the tire better. These are the MidAmerica ones.
