I would think that the 2001-2004 maf diameter is larger than the 97-2000 models. p/n 203.50.2500 is for 01-04. p/n 203.51.2500 is for 97-2000 models

Look up forum member mcv He is Mike Vendetto at Callaway in Old Lyme, Ct. PM him and ask whether or not the later year honker can be used on the 1997-2000 C5. I think the difference is in the connector between the MAF and the honker. He may have a connector that he sells that will allow you to use the bulk of the later year honker on your earlier year car.
