I've been wanting something to fill up the gap between the Borla Stingers. I used 1/8" textured plastic sign material. I think they will stand up to the heat, it's the same distance from the Tips as the bumper.

I haven't mounted it yet, just taped in place to get a feel for how it looks.

What do you think?

yeah I agree, it would look good if there was zero gap but you'd have to find some kind of way to mold it on there

Love the concept!

Needs some refining but its getting there. To bad it couldn't be molded in to that lower valance cover.

I thinks thats what I dont like. It doesnt flow well with the gap on the other side of the tips. Makes it look kinda...off. you filled the gap in the middle, but it makes the gap on the other side more apparent.

I'm still on the fence. I just came up with the idea last night. I started with a cardboard mock up. I agree that it would be great if I could incorporate it into the valance and on both sides of the exhaust. It's just temporarily taped in place to decide if I want to keep it or keep working on the design.

I wanted your opinions and suggestions.

Probably not something I would do to my car.

Interesting concept,,but they look too bulky to me. Might want to do a steeper taper from the front to the rear,,,so they don't stick down so far before turning up!! Keep tinkering!! I have four tips(Corsa's),wouldn't work for me,, but with that space you have, won't hurt to try something!!

After another couple hours in the garage looking at alternatives. I decided I don't like it. I think that I would want to build a diffuser that is one piece with 5 vanes and flowing curve for the bottom.

Oh well back to the old standard.

Thanks for the opionions and suggestions!!

Looks to boxy...should flow more into the car instead of being boxed off at the end...but the idea is good....maybe a bit more planning and this could be a cool mod. Keep on designing and keep us updated! Indy

That looks much cleaner. Sometimes less is more.

where did you get the material you used? That thing you made is on the right track, but wont do anything. I have been looking for a way to build a full width version, but cant find material that is light and workable to use...this stuff looks to be good

Even though you scratched that idea, I think it could look pretty good if it was molded in and matched the color and texture of the valance it's mounted to. Perhaps also giving the vanes a nice taper.

Fill the whole underside rear end. From the axle center line back to behind the rear fascia.

Here is my diffuser, maybe you can use it as a design help.
It helps filling the exhaust gap. I think this one flows much better with the lines of the C5 design.
