Default Will this also work on a regular C5?

Hey guys, my father just bought a 2000 auto C5. Back when I had my 03' Z06, I put this filter on.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-z...ir-intake.html

Is there any reason why this wouldn't work on a base auto C5? I just want to make sure it wont throw a code and that it will fit.

Thanks in advance.

The key here is the years. The 1997-2000 had a slightly different intake then the 2001-2004s. The earlier ones had a air hose that I think goes into the intake tube and not the filter. If you have the filter only that you are giving him I think it's fine. If it's the whole intake kit then there might be a missing air hose hole that's needed on the earlier intake tubes.

I see. Its just the filter. In that case that would save me from having to make a spot to connect the air hose too. Thanks

Shouldn't be a problem.
