I feel the LS6 intake is the best bang for the buck.
As far as aftermarket intakes go, if filtering the air is a priority and you want a superior filtering media to protect your engine as well as excellent breathing capabilities, then consider the Blackwing intake. The Blackwing is a quality intake that installs and fits like OEM and looks like it belongs there.
ive been to 3 profesional speed shops up here in indiana/michigan area and they all recommend the halltech venom 2 cold air intake and it seems to be the most expensive

I'm going to assume you mean the air intake. If so, for the most power gains, the Vararam is the choice. For ease of install and still provide very good filtering, although with less performance gains, I'd recommend the Blackwing. I've had one on my last two C5s and it does a good job.

Best filter? Toss up between Blackwing and Halltech. Blackwing is a little less expensive, and I think the Blackwing does a better job of filtering dirt.
Best Cold Air intake? Callaway Honker.....pretty pricey, but fits the best and is a very high quality piece. Lot's of people like the Vararam, but in my mind the quality is questionable.
For air, my vote goes to the Vortex. Easy install, good quality, looks like it belongs there, and filters true outside air, not underhood hot air.
For manifold, the LS6 is the best dollar for dollar on a stock engine.
The vararam simply out performs the halltech is why. When I switched I picked up 2/10's at the track.Once installed the Vararam is pretty much invisable so the Halltechs looks really didnt matter to me.
Vararam takes awhile to install and heard conflicting arguments about build quality and is priced high, but the gains are unmatchable. For me, picked up the k/n fipk while at carlisle. Its one of the only systems to give you the filter (carbon fiber), plastic air plenum over the radiator and all couplers as a complete unit. Whatever intake you do get though, you'll see gains as the stock unit is very restricted. Plus the k/n pulls air thru the cut radiator plastic shield, similar to a forced air setup. Got mine for $100 buks less than advertised everywhere at carlisle, so i was happy.
