Well i was being nice for the first meeting, trying not to start any commotion in front of the ladies. My gf has really been wanting to hang out with this specific friend for quite a while so i decided to be on good behavior. But for sure i am going to let everything out the next time, and if that is not good enough, maybe ill just race. Wont take me but like what 3-4 gear to show him hes wrong! hahahaha

This guy sounds like he's crazy.
Although my neighbor has a friend that comes over all the time with a twin turbo Dodge Ram crew cab. It supposed to put down 1200hp at the crank. I know I could could run laps around him in the twisties but 1200 ponies would be tough to beat in the quarter. We've never tried it though. He seems like a good guy and has never insulted my 04Z. He has mentioned several times that he'd like to work on it. He owns a local speed shop and just finished a really nice Camero. Don't think I'm going to be his test monkey though.

See if he would have been not so cocky about it, everything would have been ok. But no no this truck is not a speed monster. It looks straight up like a work truck.

Jelousy, ignorance and ego can be quite entertaining. I have a friend with a NEW Mustang GT. You know the new 5.0. Needless to say he's been cramming that thing down my throat, and my wifes. I'm a very modest person and generally never give in to such blatant egotistical rants, but enough was enough. He finally got me to go to the track with him and his buddies and I stomped him 3 times (ME 12.3 6-speed, HIM 13.1 auto). Now he's been to the track numerous times with the car, and I haven't been in over 5 years. He hasn't had any smack talk for me anymore. His friends were much more interested in the vette and less in his stang after those races, and that's all the smack talkin I needed to say to him. My wife said thank you for that

P.S. and did I mention it was my wife racing him in the last race

My wifes daily driver is a 6-speed manual trans. It's the only kind of car she would ever consider driving.

My wife drives the 6speed quite well also,,,can probably shift better that many guys!! Takes LOTS more than a chip and intake to really RUN!! Propane and nitrous in the turbos ,,headers and a KILLER tune CAN wake these trucks!! There was a Dodge diesel on PINKS ALL OUT that ran mid to low tens,,qualified and made it a couple rounds!! Somehow I don't think this kid has that and is driving it to lunch!!:cheers :

I think there might be a different conversation we need to have here... But this isn't OT
I would lead him on a little more to see if he has a flux capacitor in there

Sounds like he has a bad case of "Rectal crainium impaction".. Don't waste the time to even respond to that. You did well.. On your next lunch, tell him you put Slick 50 in your vette and now it has over 1000hps. Then watch him rush to Kragans to purchase a case... That was funny...

Wow, I don't know too many Dodge truck owners, But I have this guy that works for me and has a truck with the HEMI and he tells me all the time how bad it is, He even has little car stickers on his drivers door for his kills, Are most Dodge owners like this?
I have to laugh when he tells me about the cars he was raced and won, Vettes and Vipers....

Aint that the truth... So many of them mess with me on the highway in my Z. I dont get it. Yea, theres some 11 second turbo diesels out there, but most of your everyday garden variety Dodges are fairly stock. I had a 06 new in 06 cummins diesel. It was a torque monster and was great for pulling a trailer..... You know what it was made for doing...

oh to make things worse for this guy, he starts telling me that he put spacers in front of his headers??? he said he bought them from autozone. He told me it raised his torque so much that when he steps on it the front of his truck raises and he takes off so fast!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA im going to start hanging out with him more often so i can get my daily laugh supply.
"daily laugh supply" This cracks me up! Dudes like this don't come along every day.
