Did the "Rocking Seat Fix" as per the directions on this forum. My seat still rocks, almost as bad as before. Yes the bolts are tight and I did the fix just like in the instructions. HELP!

Is the fix you are referring to the one that replaced the OEM fittings with the modified nylon washers? If so, did you make sure you re-installed the seats at the same location you removed them? If not, you could be sliding back/forth on the track.
I'm sure someone with a better feel for this fix will chime in.
might be a stupid question, but did you do it to BOTH rails on each seat? and on BOTH sides of the screw drive inside the sleeve?
When doing the first one, you removed what was left of the melted rubber (on both ends) or there wasn't anything left. If you put the 2 nylon washers on each end (4 total per screwdrive) I don't see any way it can still move.

Per the Rocking Seat Fix instructions, you install 2 nylon washers per screwdrive or 4 for each seat. The directions I looked at do not instruct you to install 4 nylon washers per screwdrive. One sanded and flattened nylon washer on each side of the nut in the screwdrive. A total of 8 nylon washers for both seats.
If the washers and nut were tight prior to reassembly, the seats should not be moving.
Can't find the original post where I got the washers but, they were from someone on this forum. He made them special to fit the "screw". Did everything like in the directions, which were just like the ones from the forum with the 4 washers etc. Put it all back together just like it came apart and still have a rockin seat... Going to pull it all out this week and see if something else is broken. Thanks for the suggestions. I'll post the results when I'm done.

My bad- I was only able to find 1/16th thick washers so I had to use 4 per block. It's been a while.
After reading and re-reading all the "Rockin Seat" posts on this forum, I've come to the conclusion that there are 2 different "Rockin Seat" problems. One is the sliding forward and backward (which I don't have) and the other is real rocking (like in a rocking chair) problem. Mine, now is like a rocking chair. Feels like the seat is loose at the floor where it bolts in but, it is not. I've checked it twice.
Any more ideas? I really don't want to buy a new set of seats.

Yep, the Rockin' Seat problem that most of us are familiar with is the one that replaces the worn out GM spacers in the seat tracks. If you repaired those and the seat is still rocking up and down vs. sliding back and forth on the seat tracks, you may have an issue with the seat frame and how its connected to the tracks.
Perhaps your issue has something to do with how the back lumbar support or reclining harness is connected. Have you ever removed your leather skins/seat foam?

This may be my next move. Thanks for all the suggestions.

You are correct. The seat sliding is caused by the faulty washers (which you replaced with nylon) The rocking is a completely different problem which i understand is MUCH more of a pain to fix. I've never seen it done, but i've heard you need to completely dis-assemble the seat and weld part of the steel frame.
