In two dimensions (like a photo) it looks okay. I think in person it would looks like a paint line. If the splitter had a joint where you stopped the paint it would look more normal but I think the edge of the paint line would be a little too obvious for me.
Looks good Tim! Have to admit when I saw the first pic though, with that angle I was thinking why did you put a trailer hitch on the front of your car??!!
Just got done installing the Splitter JW Motoring is offering... I gave it a FAST paint job (two hours!) to see if I would like the idea I had. I like it!!!
I usually don't ask this but... What do you think? When I get the car painted it'll be sanded and shot by a pro...
I think it looks good, I wonder what it would look like all black.
I wanted the vertical sections Pewter so they appeared to be a part of the bumper but I also wanted the horizontal area Black for a few reasons, one of which is easy touchups and to blend in the black metal "lip" or undertray I'll be adding to it in the future. Right Mr. Stormrider???
Granted I'm no paint whiz and the line could've been done alot better by a pro and it will be. When my car get's painted I plan on molding/blending in the Splitter and the license cover into the bumper for a more finished look.
Dont worry about a perfect fit. Just make sure it is BOLTED down tight.
Next I do will be flat black, so it can be repainted with a rattle can. My yellow one is beat to chit from stones, track turds, and who knows what else.
Tim did you put the stock center rubber air dam back on? if not do so to get air up into the radiator. The stock side pieces are not needed with the splitter.
