anyone have a suggestion for replacing a noisy / defective lower drivers side door hinge on a 2000 vette.....can i just lube the roller........i can purchase a replacement from corvette america for 90 bucks and would like to do it myself if possible...thanks in advance...new york nick

Yes,you can just lube the roller-Why spend 90 bucks when 2 cents worth of oil in the right place will do it!
IF,however,that roller's been frozen in the same spot for quite awhile,the "cam" that rides on it may have worn a deep groove in it-in that case,it's not going to roll smoothly no matter how much you lube it,and you'll probably need to replace the hinge.
Give oiling it a shot,and see what happens.
You DO need to be sure that you get the oil on the shaft that the roller is mounted on,not just on the outside of the roller,or the cam will still just "slide" instead of "roll",and the hinge operation will either be noisy,or rough,or both.
