Here’s proof that high-end cars don’t do well in the surf.
Someone, perhaps a local brain surgeon or rocket scientist, decided to test a Corvette’s power by doing doughnuts in the sand on Pacific Beach Thursday night.
Surprisingly – not – the Corvette got stuck in the surf and ended up submerged knee-deep in the salt water.
The driver apparently thought the fiberglass-body of the Corvette would float like his surfboard.
Not quite.
A tow truck had to be called in after 9 p.m. to pull the car off the shore near Ocean Boulevard.
Everyone in the car left the scene before police arrived. It is unknown how many people were inside.
That just showed up on the telly here on the East Coast. It hurts everytime I see a 2008 MY corvette used and abused like that particular car was. Last year it was the getto idiot who was doing Mega burnouts in a C5 convetible. Idiots and values, always some trash to see on the tube.
