Default No more BFG KDW's????

I went to get new tires on the rear and was told the ones I had are discontinued. I had BFG KDW's and they only lasted 14,000 miles. I'm used to sport tires on my VMax only lasting 4000 miles and they cost the same pretty much.

Now I'm looking at Nittos ????

I was under the impression that KDW2s are still available. They are much better in the rain than were the KDWs, although the 2s are a bit noisier than other tires. The Hankook V12s appear to be very good tires and have done well in reviews by the car mags.

Not sure who told you that, but I just bought a new set 2 weeks ago. They are probably full of crap. What size were you looking for? Tirerack has the stock size rear KDW2s in stock right now.

That tire dealer probably can't get them anymore and were just trying to sell you something else.

Uh, I believe the OP is talking about KDWs, not KDW 2s. KDWs were excellent tires on dry pavement but were dangerous on wet pavement.

The KDW 2s are much improved as far as wet pavement handling and braking are concerned. It could be that the original KDWs are no longer available but it really doesn't make sense for BF Goodrich to have both, since the 2s are better tires.

What would be the correct sizes to order some KDW 2's from for c5 z06 rims? Also do we have a vendor on the site that I can order from or I would have to go on either tire rack or BFG's website?

I'm assuming fronts 255/40/17 and rears 295/35/18 ? Sorry I'm bad at this stuff : (

I'd go with 275/40/17 fronts. The 255s are a bit narrow for a 9.5" wheel. 275s are perfect.

Just an FYI, They did get me the KDW 2's afterall. It may have been a mistake the guy at the counter told me. He did find them and get them to me. Probably with the amount of customers swamping the store it overloaded his workload. I cut him some slack anyway.
