Mystery damage !
Sorry to hear about your damage to your rear tail light. This is the very reason I never park at a movie theater, a shopping mall or any place I can't see the car at some point. No Valet parking, and when it comes home, it goes into a lit and secure windowless garage which is lit-up with bright spot lights on a motion sensor. People these days just love to damage other folks belongings. they get a rush out of smashing lights or keying someones paint or using a glass cutter on you huge rear hatchback glass, and i could go on, but learn from this experience. Just don't leave anything important out where the general and amoral public can get at it.
