Default Hello and questions about problem areas

I have in the long ago owned Corvettes (mid-years) but have been away for a number of years. Currently looking at a 2001 AT with 50k. I have not yet traveled to see the car in person. I have a pretty good feel for pricing, but need to know what have been significant/costly issues for this model. What should I be looking for? The car comes with complete history and service records, so I should be good from that standpoint. The car in question is all stock (I'm not into heavy modding). TIA for any help!

This car also lists "Suspension Pkg". What is this? I am assuming it is not Z51 and from what I understand all 2001s had Active Handling, so I'm confused.

Half way through coffee....so bear that in mind

Tires, if they are original, despite tread they are probably pretty hard, plan on just under 1k$ if replacing.

You can look under the rear, some cars have output shaft (usually left) or diif seal leaks, you'll see the dirt if its leaking.

Active Handeling/Traction Control system issues, way too much to go into but you can search and find a ton of posts on what to look for.

Use the on board diagnostic system and take a look at whatever codes there are on the DIC (instructions here
http://www.stengel.net/diccodes.htm
should probably check the codes after you test drive, if you check them prior they could have been cleared and any trouble codes might not be set until its driven.

Good luck

Possibly talking about F45 or F55 Selective Ride Suspension? They are a very nice addition (IMO) but if/when they go most people just replace them with conventional shocks. The oem magnetic ride shocks can be $400 a piece.
