Well,,I'll keep that in mind!! Thinking of eventually using it as a hidden stereo in my shark!! Can't find the manual right now,,when I did try to read it you almost need to be combo of electrical engineer and a computer expert,,and I'm neither. Even the shop that sold and installed it said the manual was not very useful as it was hard to understand. The tech however breezed through the initial setup,,,which was great till I had to disconnect the battery,,now!! Not to mention,,the readout is almost impossible to see except when dark,,it's a single Din with a face plate adapter,,along with an adapter for the Bose speakers. Probably swing by the shop and let them re do it and TRY to follow along!!
Let me know and I will come help ya with it. I'm pretty good with that kinda stuff I installed my complete system. Maybe at the next lgcc meeting.
I am reasonably happy with the Bose system in my car, a used 2002 Z06 I picked up about a year ago. This particular car did not have the rear mounted 12 disk cd changer as an option, but I now have a used factory unit to put in. But where do I find the wire to plug in the cd changer, is it under the rear liner somewhere like in the Camaro I had before? Or do I need to add a wiring harness from the front to get back to it?
My 2004 came with Bose and 12 disk changer. The head unit also had a CD. All of my music is on Cassette tape and found a Bose with Cassette and AUX (for the 12 disk changer) for $230.00 on Ebay. Now I'm 100% happy.
