I have searched and searched to no avail, I am looking for a black c5 zo6 on ccw classics but instead of the polished or black inner barrel I am looking for the anthracite or grey inner spokes with the poliched lip. I have seen this combination on a black 03 cobra and it was fantastic. Anybody have a link to a picture that has this color combination? Thanks all
By the way I checked ccw's website and they don't have a picture of this particular combo either.
That's because CCW never offered Classics with a grey finish on the centers. They have only offered them with a dull black. When I ordered mine I wanted exactly that combo, polished lips with a grey center. I was advised it was something I'd have to do myself, so I ordered full polish and never got around to doing the centers. CCW also does not recommend powder coating the centers, only paint, which was another reason I left them alone. I was actually very pleased with full polish on my torch red Z06. If you go to CCW's gallery maybe you'll find some car with the look you want.

Why do they not recommend powder coating? The paint on my centers looked so bad and was actually peeling off that I had them blasted and coated. They look 1000 times better!

Do you have pics of your Z with the full polished models??? I'm guessing upkeep was a pita. Man, CCW makes some beautiful wheels. Unfortunately, the price just scares the hell out of me. Even though they might well be worth it, I myself would have a hard time laying down $3K for any wheels. And brake dust, cleaning around all those little rivets, etc... yowza.

I had the classics with black anodized centers, and after only about 18 months, they started peeling and cracking. (the finish) I highly recommend getting them any finish, but anodized. CCW is a fantastic company to do business with, regardless, and I wouldn't hesitate to endorse their wheels.
Maybe I should just stop wasting everyone's time and blow a call into ccw. I will have to dig up the pics I hav eof this cobra, I believe I have seen a track miata with a classsic and an gunmetal or anthracite center. Oh well.
I knew I had seen these before, was the supra jade green? Anyway I have never seen this finish on a black c5. Would really love to see it before pulling the trigger.

John, the owner of CCW, didn't recommend powdercoating because he felt the heat to bake the finish could affect the strength of the wheel. I personally don't know if that's true, but I really like the polish look anyway. As far as maintenance, the Mother's powercone makes a big difference in polishing. You can breeze though a whole wheel inside the spokes and out in about ten minutes. As far as cleaning around the bolts (not rivets), a good wheel cleaner spray makes the dirt and brake dust hose off easily. I use Advance Autos own brand and it works real well. I've posted some pics of my car before. When I find them I'll re-post.
