My tranny is having lazy shifts into third and forth gear. I have gotten used to it and lift the throttle to let it shift. Recently had new fluid and filter done at a reputable shop and it helped some.
They told me that when they do a tune, one thing it does is raise the line pressure in the trans. I have noticed that under full throttle acceleration, the trans shifts fine.
So I am thinking of taking it in and having them raise the line pressure and see if that helps. Anyone had any experiences with this?
I had that same problem a few years ago. It was not long before it got worse. Then it started slipping. Then a new RPM stage IV tranny went in.
Good Luck

On my first coupe, I had an A4 and it sounds alot like what I went through and ended up having to replace tranny. Hope it turns out to be nothing.
you can try the tune but don't invest a lot of money in it. It will probably make the shifts feel better for a while. In the mean time start saving up for a RPM transmission- you are going to need one.
