dont forget about the 2003 NCM milestone edition cars there were coupes, verts and Zo6's not sure how many of each but I know they are pretty rare. Also not sure i saw it on the list or it qualifies is the aztec gold C5's.
There ia also the Hertz Edition. I realize it was never an option to the general public, but Hertz is now selling them. There are a few on the internet in my area.
Man...That's a tough one. I think I'll stick to general public offerings for now. Thanks

B2K was a factory option....
In the late 1980s, international race car driver Reeves Callaway was running a successful business of turbocharging various high performance European cars. At the same time, GM was struggling with ways to boost performance of the recently introduced C4 Corvette to help improve sales. GM was already experimenting with various techniques including turbocharging as well as DOHC engines. GM took note of Reeve’s turbocharging work and contracted him to evaluate the turbo design they were working on (while they continued development of the LT-5 engine). Callaway judged the system good but not particularly practical for production. Callaway was contracted to develop a system of his own and within six months it was in Chevy’s RPO catalog.
The Callaway Twin Turbo Corvette was available from 1987-1991 as option (RPO) B2K and could be ordered from select dealers in the U.S.
I'm trying to put together a list of all the Special Edition Corvettes.
Am I missing anything? Also any of you bean counters that would like to check my production numbers have at it, I would welcome any corrections.

There was a special edition "Malcolm Konner" model in 1986 or 87 I believe. Malcolm Konner was/is a special dealership for Chevrolet and they created this special edition model in his name. I read about it in one of the Corvette magazines, but you could most likely fine it in the Mike Antonick's black books.
OK, I found it, it's on page 84 of the Corvette Black Book, RPO: 4001ZA They built 50 of them and it seems they were just special paintwork. It says there was fifty made as "Malcolm Konner Commemorative Edition" Made in the name of this famous New Jersey Chevrolet dealer.

The Aztec Gold cars were rare for sure, but from what I could find is that it was just a failed attempt at a new color not a "Special Edition".
Thanks
Keep em comming.
Not sure I would consider a Callaway a special edition. It is more of an option that can be ordered each year now. Now if you are referring to the 1991 model year, I guess you might call it a special edition.
If you are doing Callaway you should do Guldstrand and any others like that.
1986/1988 Corvette Guldstrand GS80 (not sure if there were more years of this one made)
1994 Corvette Guldstrand GS90
2003 Guldstrand 50th Anniversary
2007 Guldstrand GSRT (read only 20 were to be made. Not sure if they were all made and if they all used 07's)
There's also the Lingenfelters but not sure since they basically convert many each year if that's worthy of the list. I think they've had a few actual "editions" over the years though. In similar thought there's also Katech and Specter Werkes Corvettes out there. And of course the Pratt & Miller C6RS.
Also how about the low production of the original Z06 and Grand Sports.

They probably don't count as a special edition but how about the 1990 Indy Festival Corvette? The Chevy Beretta was the actual pace car but they used the Vettes for race day track duties and parades etc. Fewer than 100 built I think. Yellow verts and turquoise verts with graphics.

Callaway Corvettes from 1987-1991 were RPO cars and not "tuner vehicles" like some suggested...

OK looks like I have to make a rule...man I hate them things. Any Way I think if it has a RPO I will add it to the list and cars without are coming off. That is going to put the NCM Milestone cars at risk if I don't find a RPO.

Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
