That's what I was thinking but that puts the older 96 GS in question.
The 96 was truly a special edition. Even though they were offered in both body styles, coupe and convertible, they were all Admiral blue with the white stripe. All were LT4 manual. Also, only 1000 were built.
The current Grand Sport is a unique model and available with either transmission and any color. Don't get me wrong, the new GS is one of the coolest Corvettes to come along in a while, but not a special edition. This is only my opinion, of course !
OK looks like I have to make a rule...man I hate them things. Any Way I think if it has a RPO I will add it to the list and cars without are coming off. That is going to put the NCM Milestone cars at risk if I don't find a RPO.
Milestone cars were not an RPO.
In my spare time, I serve as Division Director for Bloomington Gold Certification for C4, C5, and C6 Corvettes. Trust me, when it comes to special Corvettes, the RPO (codes) separates fact from fiction

From what I have been able to find in the past couple of days, that is correct - no RPO code was assigned. Looks like it was a package you could order through any dealership and then Milestone Editions Inc. would arrange for the package materials to be delivered to that dealership after the car was built in Bowling Green and delivered to the selling dealership. The selling dealership would then install the graphics package, etc on the car for delivery to the buyer.
So, if you don't want to consider it on your list of special edition Corvettes since it doesn't have an RPO, that's OK. You do have to draw the line somewhere. The Milestone cars are still unique and rare and the only ones made in cooperation with the NCM.
Still a nice list you are compiling. Good luck getting it all together.
Actually a pretty cool fact about the 96 Grand Sports; according to a GM source I spoke to they where painted white first and then blue was added to the white.
