I always loved how my 03 anv. vert looks. It seemed to have a different look to it, it has a attitude the way it sits, in that it looks much diiferent sitting and moving than other C5's

I know the suspension is different, but what I didnt know is that it is lower by about 1.25" in the front and lower in the back.. I measured other anv. cars and it is consistent, the same measurment from the ground to any spot you pick.

I always wondered why i have more clearance issues going over a speed bumps for example.. You all probably know this but it is noteworthy. Cheers Gary

huh? you do know that the ride height is adjustable, right?

i can't imagine that anniversary editions are set up any different from the factory than any other C-5.

if i'm wrong, well, i'm wrong.

anyway, it's all good - i'm glad you love the stance of your car - i love the stance of mine too!

Yea....that would be different and I can't remember a post from another member noting this. Could be wrong....but don't think so.

I wonder if this is true of all '03s? The reason I ask is because I definitely have clearance issues and mine is stock.

Me too. I'd bet if there was a previous owner the car was lowered by them.

Have the shipping snubbers been taken out of your suspension? Are you original owner? Maybe someone else adjusted the ride height?

My guess would be to check the shipping snubbers first. So many reports of dealers forgetting them.

I'm afraid not. All the suspension options available on your '03 Anniversary Edition were also available on any coupe or convertible except the Z06.

The only things unique about the AE cars are the color, badges and wheels. In other words it was an appearance package. It did come with the Magnetic Ride control (shocks) but that was available on other models.

IF the car had shipping snubbers left in it wouldn't the car ride REALLY rough with so little suspension action allowed?

Yes it would. Also I don't see how the snubbers would make the car ride lower. The are designed to prevent the shocks from bottoming out when the frame is winched down during shipping. The shock is free to fully extend with them installed.

Out of all Annie Vettes
4085 Coupes
7547 Verts
11632 total all with Mag Ride.

Total Mag Ride was 14992 cars in 2003

So just 3360 non Annie Vettes had Mag Ride (about 1 in 10)

and if they sit different with Mag Ride, the Annie cars would mostly ALL seem a different height than the other 35,469 total vettes that year less the 11,632 mag ride vettes = 23837 regular suspension vettes

thats if they sit at a different height (?)

my 04 ce convert sits higher than my friends 00. the only suspension difference is that i have magnetic ride and he has standard suspension. it is almost exactly the difference the OP mentions in the post. i'll bet that is the only difference.
