**RELEASE** LG Motorsports ALMS GT2 Corvette to National Corvette Museum.
**NEWS RELEASE**
It is with great pride that LG Motorsports will have on display our GT2 ALMS Corvette at the National Corvette Museum.
The car will enter the museum Wed. Decemeber 8th, 2010 for display. Here you will get to see the car up close as it was after Laguna 2009 at it's last race in the ALMS series.
This is truely a one of a kind piece of Corvette History as it is Chassis number 001 of 1 total produced. It is also the only privately raced Corvette, and the only one not backed by the factory. LG Motorsports owns chassis #001 and compained the car in the GT2 class from 2008 through 2009.
#28 has been driven by a number of great drivers including; Lou Gigliotti, Mark Goosens, Boris Said, Eric Curran, Tom Sutherland, Matt Bell, Doug Peterson, Tomi Drissi, and Lucas Molo.
2009 Road Atlanta is was 2nd quick for the start of the race and was the first private ran Corvette to out qualify the factory team. It was also the only American car with an all American driver line up that week as well.
Lou will be there with the car and I on Wed. to bring the car in. Love to see as many of you as we can that day. For those going to the museum for pickup or just a tour, be sure to stop by and see the car in person.

Congrats on getting the car displayed. Hopefully I'll get a chance to make a trip to the museum while it is there and take a look at it.

I have a feeling this will be one of those rare cars fifty years from now that are so important to racing that they sell for millions. Who knows by then it could be tens of millions...

Just got back from the Museum last night. Big thanks to Adam and all of the guys and gals at the museum, we had a blast!
In front on a very cold December morning
By the new Cafe at the museum
Going into the holding area for display
Lou proudly standing beside the #28 in the display area.
All tucked away awaiting guests!
Be sure to stop by and ask for a poster of the car when you go as well. Lou's driver's suit and helmet are also on display with the car.
I'll have some video in a couple days of it going in as well.
Again big thanks to the National Corvette Museum for giving us the honor of having the car there!

Thanks for posting this on the C5 General part of the Forum! Some of us are not regular visitors to the C6 section and we really appreciate your post.
Having said this, about a year or so back, I saw a video in the C6 section of Lou running at Road Atlanta. The video was from an in car camera and you could clearly see digital displays of gear selection, lap times, etc. as well as having a driver's eye view of the track. Along with the awesome audio were shots of Lou shifting the sequential transmission. I was fascinated by this transmission which I believe came from Australia (could be wrong about this).
If you have a copy of this video, please post again for the newer members as well as us older guys to enjoy.
Thanks,
Gary

The old W.C. cars at the end had a Holligner Transmisison which was from Austrailia, all of the cars since then have been using Emco boxes and that is what we sell through the store as well.

Anthony,
Thanks again for posting the information I requested and the videos. Those Emco transmissions are so cool!
I also especially liked the in car video of Lou in his Z06 with the camera focused on the shifter so all of us could see the sequential transmission in action.
The Laguna Seca video also showed the lap times, cam used etc. for those of us who can't get enough of the Corvette action.
Thanks again for posting this up.
