Can't do a burnout anymore
Tried this morning to power brake and smoke tires a little but to my surprise the wheels didn't move, feels like there is not enough power
no problem with with peeling out and leaving long black marks or braking tires loose from 45mph. 01 A4 z51 vert lightly modded with 338 whp, what is wrong? I used to be able to do it every time, never had any issues with it.
Thanks

As far as your question, I would say if you have the power to break them babys loose at 45mph and can't do a burn out it has to be driver error. Unless you have tranny issues.

I have yet to see why you would want to smoke the tires and leave long black strips, unless you are are the drag strip. First off it is dangerous on the street and plus tires cost money to simply remove miles of good rubber from them.
I guess I am just getting old.

I would of thought you would need a lot more than 338 rwhp to break them loose at 45mph seeing the car will only drop into 2nd gear., I guess it can be done if you have bad tires.

We are ALL getting older and so are our cars! When I drive my newly cammed car back from the dyno tune in the A.M.,,,,,I am gonna feel a tad younger!
OP,,,mash the gas when your rubber stash needs to be depleted.

you can break them lose at 45 i have in the city, put it in first and hammer it she'll go lose. i have the same problem, my abs module is done and needs to be sent in so i know thats not kicking in(TC). i can do donuts like nothing but if i hold the brake and put it to the floor nothing will happen even on gravel it would do it can't do a standing burnout never figured it out, than winter came.

Maybe you have extremely good brakes.

I call bs on the burn out @ 45 but CANT at a dead stop...learn how to burn out if that is the case or turn your traction control off.
If you can bust them loose at the top of 1st or bottom of second(which is 45ish in an A4) then you can break them loose from a dig
how about a video of the 45 mph rolling burn out?

its not a rolling burnout but the *** end gets sideways. when i try the burnout i put it to the floor it climbs to just under 1500 than drops to a 1000 and won't do anything!

Anyway I went to a safe place after work today, my TC and ABS was working at that time, I turned TC off and tried to power brake and burnout like I usually do and my tires broke loose at like 1/8 of throttle with ease. I smoked the hell out of them and never was happier to do a burnout. Now at least I know it was not my torque converter or transmission which can be very expensive.
