Default Dash light & Twilight Sentinel

1999 with Twilight Sentinel.
With TS off, start car, turn headlights on.
Headlights pop up and work, but there are no dash lights. Drove the car about 10 miles using the HUD and the dash lights came on like you flipped a swith. WTF?
So the next time I use the car at night it does the exact same thing, only this time before moving I pull up the TS option on the DIC and reset from OFF to ON and the dashlights come on! WTF? part deux.
So I left the TS set to ON and drove home.
This morning I start the car and turn the headlights on and SSDD. I pull up the DIC and change the TS back to OFF and the dashlights come on!
So I reset the TS to ON and they go off, just like a switch. Change the TS setting back to OFF and they come back on. Headlights are on the whole time through all of this.
I have searched the form relentlessly for anything related to Twilight Sentinal, dashlights, Automatic Headlights, and Headlights and never found anything to help me out.
Anyone else experience this?

There is a little **** on the left side of the steering wheel...over by the HUD controls. You probably have it turned all the way down..

Glad you got her figured out...that switch MAY be fixable

I thought I had the thread saved but if you do a search about "headlight switch decided to repair"

those key words should get you to the thread if you use the search by title of thread function
