Those are the factory thin spoke wheels. Polished aluminum and clear coated. Neverdull is a good product to polish them and protect the clear coat.

They appear to be stock alum/clear coated polished wheels.
Treat the same as your cars finish.
I try to remove mine once/year for a thorough cleaning/polishing.

I just wash and wax mine just like the rest of the car. Clearcoat is just paint so be careful what you use on them.

Those look like the stock OEM thin spokes - circa 2000-2004. They came from the factory polished and clear coated, GM didn't offer any chrome wheels from the factory on the C5.

That being said - assuming they are clear coated, they should be treated like any other painted surface. Use nothing abrasive or caustic. Wash them with whatever car wash solution you use, dry them and polish them as if they were the paint on the body of the car. You should also apply some kind of protectant, again just like you'd use on the body of the car.

Clear coat is nothing more than pigment-less paint.

Finally, there are some wheels that have been chromed in the aftermarket, that bear all of the GM logos inside, etc. There are also a number of replica wheels that are chrome that were made typically in one of the Asian countries.

They look just like the OEM wheels on my 2001 convertible. To make sure they are aluminum put a magnate on them. The magnate won't stick to aluminum but will stick where your lugnuts are.
