Default Glad to be back!!!!

Well,,,SOME of you regulars MIGHT have noticed you haven't seen my snarling shark avatar for a while!! Well last Wednesday I went in for an OUTPATIENT procedure,,a lithotripsy to break of a huge stone(1/2" x1") in my left kidney. The procedure went fine ,,till the next afternoon when complications hit!! What a snow ball of effects,,short list Thur. night took morphine and viccaden ,,and things went wacky from there!! Pain killers caused blockage,,that led to an N.G. tube(nose to stomach,,naso-gastric)went the wrong way(not THAT uncommon) which caused minor fluid aspiration in the lungs and So on!! Now mind you,,,THIS is the SHORT version!! Got to spend the entire Christmas weekend in the hospital!! Well things are going in the right direction now,,and MAN am I glad to get back here,,,had to go straight to Vette and girl pics,,missed a fair amount in over 5 days,,,thanks Tony2000 and Pewter99 for letting it live!! Kidney/back pain probably going to keep me out of the drivers seat of my FRC for a bit,,,but plan some quality time/TLC right away,,GOT to drive it ASAP,,,,worse than DRUG WITHDRAWAL!! Glad I'm upright,, Christmas WILL come,,if a few days late,,,and now realized,,,really missed my Forum time,,after all,,the wife says I'm addicted to it anyhow!!

Very glad to hear you're better, Gene. Hopefully, you'll be back in the driver's seat enjoying yourself very quickly.

Happy Holidays and God bless!

You PANSEY!! You shoulda just passed it like a MAN!

Dang, that would have killed you.....

My main one was 4mm X 6mm and took a week of torture to pass.

Glad you came through okay and are back to your addiction.

It's funny, most people think the pain and "passing" one is all about it coming out yer ****. Nope, it's about it slowly scraping through your ureter on the way to the bladder....YOUCH!!

Thanks Ed,,,and STILL a little jealous,,,since most of this unfolded rather quickly and unplanned,,,Didn't get her covered,,and came home to see about 3" of snow left on it!!! Almost made me sick all over again

Got that right!! I'd relate it to someone jamming your kidney in a bench vise and using a cheater bar to clamp it down!! Am now a slowly but steadily producing sand machine,,,but the big show is yet to come,,from the E.R. scan,, I still have 2 good ones to work out!! 0ne is still 2.5mm and the other is over 4mm!! Guess its better than the 33X16mm that it started outAfter the side affects of the "heavy hitter" pain meds,,gonna be VERY reluctant/careful about them!! But after that first go round,,not going to say never with the 4+mm bugger waiting up there!! Thought I was a tough guy before this INDESCRIBABLE!!

Thanks guys!!! Took a couple of hits off of the prescribed "puffer" to clear up the minor aspiration,,and hit the sack last night. Wound up wired tighter than a guitar string!!Checked in then on the forum again(remember the wife says I'm addicted,,,well better than illicit drugs right) then went down stairs and rummaged around,,decided to read the Wallgreens info attached to your order.Guess what one of the side effects,,,,wait for it,,,,difficulty sleeping!!! Good news is the first dose cleared most of the aspiration congestion!!Getting light out here now,,,hoping to get her cleaned up and covered before more crappy weather gets here!!! If I'm not sleeping,,,,should find the time!!!:cheers :

Man, that thing must have looked and felt like an asteroid!

I can relate as I have had three in my lifetime. I swear I thought I was going to grip the stainless rails on my hospital bed hard enough to leave imprints of my fingers in them. Thank God for morphine!

Happy you are doing better Gene. Hope that you can get through the other two stones without too much pain.

Gary
