Flat black wheels simply look cheap unless on a true race car.

Im not a fan of stock wheels being painted or powdercoated.. Looks cheap.
If you go with a nice set of aftermarket wheels then you can pull off the look

I'm not crazy about chrome bling either, however a nice polished wheel would be my first choice.

I also think the Leman's Blue is one of the colors that can pull off the darker wheel look and IMO works better with a gunmetal gray vs. black. Below is one of my favorites on the forum...

I'm digging the front fenders! Didn't anyone else notice these? I used to have PC SP500s on my EBZ. Would be cool if the stockers had an EB stripe.

I'm not knocking BLING. Some people just have to have very shiny stuff on their cars for the attention I guess. That's why diamonds and gold teeth and gold chains and big watches are so popular. And lots of chrome on their cars to make them really stand out in a crowd.

Just because black wheels don't stand out from a mile away doesn't mean they don't look good.

Just MHO.....not knocking anybody. I have seen BLINGED out show cars that are interesting. I like chrome wheels at times. I even like racing stripes and custom graphics. Maybe the OP just wanted to try something different and might decide to go chrome at a later date.

Besides....doesn't everybody like MR.T?

i like the black wheels but you should go with a gloss black for all those who say it looks like dirty brake dust wheels or your hub caps fell off .please. Also and a stripe of color match the blue paint or your brake calipers .jmo

Good looking car, but IMO, either chrome or high polished wheels would look great on that car.

I am not a big fan of black wheels, but to each ther own. Black wheels look good on certain colors and I like the look on yours. Like you started you want a little more of an aggressive look and what you show is there. I also like the looks of the small vent in the upper fender.

I also like the black wheels. I would go with gloss black, imo. I think everyone has their own opinions about what looks good. But in the end, it comes down to what you like.

Here's a pic of my Z with Sp500's with a blue pinstripe

Everyone has their own ideas and I have always said to each his/her own. It is your car so do what you like. I happen to have chrome C6 Z06 wheels on my Torch Red coupe. Black wheels look great on certain colors (IMO) plus the car needs to sit just right so with the wheels and stance it is aggressive looking. The one big issue I have with the black wheels, is if you don't keep the tires cleaned and dressed plus the wheel wells, then they seem to lose their appeal.

What I have seem that looks good is the black wheel with either the lip polished or a contrasting strip around the rim lip.

All black wheels need some sort of highlight. It should be a rule

Otherwise, they just look like dirty wheels.

$ .02

Johnson 92 gets it.....gloss with a highlight.

The photoshop image just makes them look dirty, but if you are buying the actual gloss black Z06 wheels, I think it will look nice.

I like chrome and colored wheels.

Here's my subtle before and after. It's just black wheels and fender stripes:

Not usually a fan of black either but the blue ring and the red caliber wing and hood,,, that looks good.
That blue ring did the trick.
The chrome on manleys845 brakes it up where they don't look bad either...
Agree with the rest. Solid black unless its gloss is a little to much black.
