Even though our new GS has been with us for less than a month, it was getting lonely, so we found a 2000 FRC for company. Maybe there won't be so much whimpering at night:
My plan is to quietly remove the spoiler, fix the holes drilled in a PERFECT condition body. Then I will put the spoiler in the barn and PAY someone to take it away. The rule will be it has to be removed after dark and no one can see it being taken.
The receipt for the spoiler was in the car can you believe $800 for it????? I'll probably have to spend nearly that much to fix the deck lid.
Yes, as soon as the weather clears it is coming off. No more public exposure until post removal.

It might be worth checking into a new trunk lid, however if you have a good body/paint shop, I'm sure they could fill the holes in. The FRC is such a great car with great lines, I can't understand why the previous owner would add that thing.
I would either sell it or turn it into a bar shelf.
Why not just say...congrats on the addition...I hate all the nice but hate the wheels...or now just lower it.......live and let live and like My mom used to say..."If you can't say something nice ...don't say anything at all"
Maybe it is tacky to ask but WTF How good of a deal $$$$? Nice car and it has been said but when I looked at the pic for the first time my eyes went waaaay wide and I felt a little something coming up in my throat...... Why would anyone do something like that?
yea it was a good deal. I was hoping is was on with adhesive tape, but no such luck. I'll see the body man first thing and see how painful this is going to be.
It seems that used trunk lids are available, so I could get one fixed up. You know the story after that... only a body man or a SOB would notice, only the SOB would say anything.
