I've lost count of the number of posts involving malfunctioning CJ2 systems here over the years. Serious.
I looked at your FRC a bunch of times on the internet and it looked to be in great shape, it was my color too! I never contacted the owner because I was holding out for a car with HUD and a couple of other things. I found mine in OKC. I am really enjoying the car and I'm sure you will too. Worst part for me was I didn't have a C4 to sell before buying the c5.
I looked all around the country until I found this by chance.
I never looked on Auto Trader because when I bought my 90 everytime I inquired about one I never heard back from anyone, so I said screw Auto Trader this time.
Then my wife ask me if I had looked there so I said what the heck, why not. Same thing, sent an email to inquire but never heard back. So I said screw it and called him. The rest is history.
I could have gotten one with less miles but they were farther away and by the time I paid to either pick it up or have it shipped they were out of my target price. Or they wanted more than I was willing to pay at the present time and I'm not one to low ball people. But I got this for what I consider a fair price for both me and the seller.

I know what you mean about auto trader, I just used them as a reference point but I have to admit I found 3 Red 99 FRC cars on auto trader that I liked, the one you own now, a 23K mile beauty at a dealership in Little Rock that was too high for me, and the one I purchased from a BMW dealer in OKC. It did cost me around $500.00 to fly out and drive it back but the last FRC to come up for sale in my neck of the woods was over 2 years ago. Kind of a FRC desert around here it seems.

Was stationed at FT C back in the eighties. Went by there last year when I was on the Hot Rod Power Tour and as much as it's changed, it hasn't changed all that much. Good friend of mine Romey Reid is from Hop Town just in case you may know of him.

Fixed Roof Coupe. Or some refer to them as hardtop. I think the original sales brochure, which I received along with the build sheet and window sticker refers to them as hardtop.
Be interesting to know where the FRC came from. Anyone know?
Nice looking car hope you enjoy it. I visit the PR&C section now and then and have seen that you post regularly over there. I mainly just read over there and avoid posting as it is a tough crowd in there. The C5 section is pretty tame and most of the posters here are glad to offer help if you need it. Good luck with FRC.

I know Romie well, he lives about 4 miles from me. We served together in the National Guard. Small World indeed. I have never been on the Power Tour but I did run into a group of participants at the Woodshed resturant as they came through last year. I had planned to join the Tour in past years and I have a 67 Chevelle that was 90% ready and my son had an accident in it. That was over 10 years ago now, I pulled the Chevelle in the garage where it has sat since. One day I will fix and finish it.
