Finally got a C5
Dealer has had it for a few weeks.

2000 6Spd.
35K miles
I got it for 18K
One question I did have was in the glovebox one of the codes on the sticker is Z51. Does that mean that it has the Z51 suspension package. The button on the center console just turns on or off traction control so I wasn't sure. Until now all I knew about vettes came from owning this one.

According to it, FE3 is a sport suspsension.
Next to the code for Z51 it says
Z51 : PACKAGE, PERFORMANCE HANDLING.
I am guessing that means I have the Z51 all right. Chances are considering my old daily driver was a Ford Explorer I probably wouldnt know the difference between the z51 and the normal suspension.

I did do a search right quick and found this site
http://www.c5registry.com/membersonl...suspension.htm
Heres a quote from the site that may help explain:
Z51 Handling Package is designed for appropriate, sanctioned competitions, or for the driver who desires the ultimate in a suspension system. Tuned on road racing courses and autocross tracks, Z51 offers a top level of handling. Z51's highly controlled ride stems from stiffer springs, larger stabilizer bars and larger monotube shock absorbers than the standard suspension. When Z51 is ordered with MXO Automatic Transmission It Requires the G92 Performance Axle Option which has a ratio of 3:15 The only way to get the Power Steering Cooler is with the Z51 package. Basically, the Z51 Package is the combination of the "Heavy Duty Suspension" and the "Power Steering Cooler".
Note: When reviewing your RPO codes on your C5's RPO Code Sticker you will notice that when Z51 is Selected the RPO code of FE3 (HEAVY DUTY SUSPENSION) is also there. FE3 is the RPO Code the Factory Production line employees use when building the C5 with the Z51 Package. At the Factory all FE3 Compents are COLOR Coded with either WHITE TAGS or a White Colored Crayon Mark.

Means stiffer sway bars, extra fluid cooler, stiffer shocks than base model.
Real sweet ride! And a nice buy!
Do some research on the A/H option, some Z51 had them I have been told. Mine doesn't. 2000 was a transition year for the C5. If your's doesn't, be glad. The replacement shocks are sky high. I just installed C6 Z06 shocks on mine and WOW!
The post above is what I mean,,,all 2000's were not alike!
Enjoy the heck outta her!
