Glove Box is in unlocked position, but will not open. Owners Manual probably jammed in between, and won't allow door to open. I tried sliding letter opener, but, couldn't tell what was keeping door from opening. I don't want to damage door or glove Box surround. Any ideas on how to access glove box by unjamming without damaging would be appreciated. Tom
Place your fingers in the cut out and lift up out and over towards the left then open vertical. It will be a two stage hinge, and probably needs a little lubricant once you get it opened.
If it still will not open, but does open just a bit, you'll need to get a better angle and with a very small blade screwdriver push the latch out of the way so it opens. Mine did that one time. (Sorry I forgot about that time.) See if I can explain this a little better there is a cam latch that catches as the lid comes down. Sometimes it gets out of position and you need to push it open with the screwdriver.

Mine occasionally would lock wher the door was open
If this happens you can't close the door. Simply flipping the latch to the unlocked position is the fix for that problem. Never had the glove box unlocked and unable to open but the last post seems to tell you how to get around this.
